A Look At My Book

 

Chapter 1

Dad started to speak again. This time his voice was frail and he had tears full of pain in his eyes. "Mom and I are splitting up."

Chapter 3

I grabbed my mother in great desperation, hugging her, holding onto her and crying, "Mom, please don't let him take me. Don't let me go, mom. I won't steal anymore.

Chapter 6

As we drove down along the highway one of the older guys made tinfoil spitballs. Another guy held my mouth open while the first guy spit them into my mouth.

Chapter 8

...he brought up his leg and kicked me square in the face. I somersaulted backwards through the air and landed on my stomach. Stinging pain hit my face instantly as blood ran from my mouth and nose.

Chapter 10

As a result of my feet freezing so badly all of my toenails turned black and some of them fell off.

Chapter 13

I must have gone about half a mile when my bike hit a fence. I flew over the handlebars and landed hard. I jumped up and started to run as fast as I could.

Chapter 14

Over the next five years I would win many fights including the Silver Gloves, Golden Gloves, Winter Games and the Provincial Championship.

Chapter 17

The radiologist noted that I had broken the sixth bone in my neck in at least three places. I had begun to feel the effects of whiplash on my neck and back.

Chapter 18

I have spent a great deal of time trying to rebuild my relationship with my wife and children. I believe that we all have a better relationship now than we have ever had.
